COVID-19: Buying is now available again in France!

It is official! Since Tuesday 12 May, it is possible to buy and sell again on UW in France. 😊  It is therefore time to go pay for this summer outfit that you have been eyeing for the last 6 weeks, and for all the items you bid on and which are waiting in your cart.

Of course, your safety and the safety of your loved ones is still our priority, so we ask that you respect the hygiene recommendations and the measures announced by your government at all times. This may mean that shipping and delivery may take a bit longer than what you were used to.

If you had some orders on hold during the buying suspension, please read the information below to find out what to do with them.

In any case, please let your friends, family and followers know, and happy shopping on United Wardrobe!

Orders not yet shipped

You could have orders still waiting to be shipped. This can be because:

  • You bought or sold something on UW before the 24 March,
  • OR, someone from Belgium, The Netherlands or Germany bought one of your items during the French lock down,

You can now ship these. But first, please check whether the shipping companies have started resuming their activities and let the buyer know in the chat if further delays are to be expected. Specifically:

  • La Poste/Colissimo is progressively re-opening its services and increasing the volume of deliveries. We however strongly recommend that you use online tools available on the Postal service's website as much as possible.
  • Mondial Relay has restarted deliveries. They estimate that about 2/3 of their network has now re-opened but please check with your service point for their specific re-opening date.

Of course, if you (or the buyer/seller) have changed your mind, you can cancel your order and we will fully refund the buyer.

Orders in transit

With a limited number of service points and postal offices open during the lock-down, many shipping companies had to hold your package in a safe place until they can deliver it to the nominated address/service point.

As companies are progressively resuming their activities, your package will be able to get back on the road. So keep an eye on the Track & Trace (if there is one for your order) and regularly check our shipping partners for updates on their operations.

Returns

You can now return your order. But first, please check whether the shipping companies have started resuming their activities and let the seller know in the chat if further delays are to be expected.

Returns already on their way back to sellers or to our office have been stored by the shipping companies in a safe place, and will get back on the road as soon as possible. Please keep an eye on the Track & Trace to see when it is moving again.

If you have returned an item to our UW office, and the Track & Trace indicates it is delivered, then it is nicely waiting for one of us to come to our office to check it. We are mostly working from home these days but some of us do go to the office from time to time to take care of the packages. We will contact you as soon as possible.

Contacting UW

We will work a little longer from our respective homes but we will be just a click away to help you if you have a question about the above or one of your orders. 😉

We will also update our FAQ as the situation progresses so keep an eye on it. For now, we wish you the best for the next few weeks while activities are resuming. Keep on taking great care of you and your loved ones !
